GAD are excessive and persistent worries “more days than not for at least six months” as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. Those affected are not able to control these worries that can make them feel keyed up in their speech and on edge all the time coupled with difficulty to concentrate, irritability, sleep disturbance, are some of its symptoms. Symptoms of GAD are not caused by drug abuse or any other medical conditions or another mental disorder, illness, or anxiety. The one single sad impairment to those who experience GAD is that they “felt anxious and nervous all of their lives” according to American Psychiatric Association.

Fortunately we welcome patients with and without insurance plans. The good news is psychiatric care is covered by insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The ACA requires insurance plans to cover mental health. If in doubt, please contact your insurance company.

If you don’t have insurance, we accept cash payment and offer discounted services. We may also be able to help you into benefits you may qualify for.
