This is a mood disorder characterized with hopelessness, irritability, angry outbursts, body ache, lost of interest in life, sleep is affected, diminished ability that affects concentration, tearfulness, restlessness, recurrent thoughts of death that can lead one to attempt suicide or commtit suicide. These depressive symptoms are not attributed to any medical condition like hypothyroidism or lack of vitamin D. These depressive symptoms indicated must occur most of the day, nearly every day, for at least two weeks.

Fortunately we welcome patients with and without insurance plans. The good news is psychiatric care is covered by insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The ACA requires insurance plans to cover mental health. If in doubt, please contact your insurance company.

If you don’t have insurance, we accept cash payment and offer discounted services. We may also be able to help you into benefits you may qualify for.
